A Wheat Cleaning Plant is a modern grain processing system designed to remove impurities and prepare wheat for milling or storage. The plant ensures uniform cleaning, grading, and separation to achieve high-quality wheat that meets food industry standards.

🔹 Process Overview

The wheat cleaning plant generally includes the following stages:

1. Pre-Cleaning – Removal of large impurities like straw, sticks, stones, and dust using scalpers or vibrating sieves.

2. Aspiration & Dust Removal – Air suction systems separate light particles, husk, and chaff.

3. Destoning – Stones and heavy impurities are removed using gravity-based destoners.

4. Magnetic Separation – Metal contaminants are extracted with magnetic separators.

5. Fine Cleaning & Grading – Wheat is sorted by size, shape, and density with graders and separators.

6. Dampening/Conditioning (optional) – Moisture is added for softening bran before milling.
